DIBOLL, TX -- Temple-Inland has unified its family of medium density fiberboard (MDF) panels under the brand name UltraStock™.
Designed to provide manufacturers, designers and architects a broad range of performance characteristics, Temple-Inland’s MDF line now includes five different products.
UltraStock Select is manufactured for precision machinability. Specifically engineered to maintain an extremely fine fiber size and panel density, this product cuts, routs and finishes with exceptional results for applications with the most demanding detailing.
UltraStock Premium is designed for a broad range of applications, offering consistent performance properties and reliable productivity, especially for long production runs.
UltraStock Lite offers a density savings of up to 25%. It is designed for jobs calling for component parts or finished products that are significantly lighter than possible with standard panels. This product also saves on machine and tool wear as well as freight costs.
UltraStock Thin Profile panels deliver proven workability and lamination characteristics in a board with minimal dimensional thickness.
UltraStock-MR is a new moisture-resistant product that can be machined, laminated or veneered like our premium panels, but provides much more protection against moisture absorption and damage.
Similar to the consolidation of their TemStock particleboard products approximately two years ago, Temple-Inland’s announcement addresses the continuing industry trend toward component-level performance optimization and supply-chain efficiency.

Available by product with specific dimensional specifications, UltraStock panels are manufactured in thicknesses from 7/32 inch to 1 5/16 inches, widths to five feet and lengths to sixteen feet. In addition, all UltraStock panels are third-party certified to contain a significant percentage of recovered and recycled material.
