HOPE, Arkansas -- An impressive $8 million in process improvements at Temple-Inlands Hope particleboard facility is really paying off for their customers.
TemStockTM Particleboard Panels are now available with lighter, tighter specifications that deliver a new level of product quality and consistency. Process improvements made at the facility include a new mechanical forming machine and innovative press modifications.
Were truly excited about what these upgrades can do for our customers, says Bryan Wilson, Composite Panel Sales/Marketing Manager. Not only have we reduced our overall material densities...weve also significantly tightened our in-panel density and thickness variations by as much as 50% and added flexibility to our press. This means lower panel weights, lower freight costs, more material per load, easier handling as well as consistently smoother and cleaner machining.
The press size at the Hope facility is 9' x 25', producing particleboard panels in both 49" and 61" widths, with lengths ranging from 73" to 169". Thicknesses range from 1/4" to 1 1/8".
