GreenGlass fiberglass-faced gypsum board is a versatile, cost-efficient material choice for residential or commercial projects. In addition to these general uses, GreenGlass performs particularly well in higher moisture areas where paper-faced board is not an option. Produced with the TemShield® Mold Protection System engineered into its gypsum core, GreenGlass is faced on both sides with naturally mold-resistant fiberglass mats and scored a perfect 10 when tested in accordance with ASTM D3273, the standard test for mold resistance.
Certified according to ISO 14021 to contain at least 90% recycled content, GreenGlass can help set a higher standard in designing comfortable, efficient environments – and can contribute valuable credits towards environmental system ratings such as LEED and the NAHB’s Green Building Standard.
GreenGlass is produced in 1/2" and 5/8" thicknesses, 48" and 54"widths and lengths of 8', 10' and 12'. The 5/8” thickness features a Type X core and is approved for use in numerous U.L. fire-rated assemblies. Engineered with improved fiberglass encapsulation, GreenGlass interior gypsum board is easier to handle – plus it delivers a smoother surface for improved finishability over traditional glass mat gypsum boards.
