Properly installed, high-quality Temple-Inland gypsum board adds strength to interior walls, as well as sound-control qualities which can improve living and working environments.
Regular gypsum board also provides some fire resistance. When exposed to flames, the natural moisture contained in the gypsum core is slowly released as steam, effectively retarding heat transmission.

Recycled Content Certification:
Temple-Inland regular gypsum board is certified in accordance to ISO 14201 standards to have recycled material content. All certified products feature a gypsum core sandwiched between recycled facers, and our regular gypsum board is available with up to 99% certified recycled content for environmental "green" requirements. This certified material composition can contribute toward recycled material credits in the LEED rating system as well as other rating systems.
