ComfortGuard AR and ComfortGuard IR panels are manufactured to meet or exceed ASTM C1396, ASTM C1629 and Federal Specification SS-L-30D, Type III, Grade X & Grade W.
ComfortGuard AR is designed to score, snap and fasten as easily as traditional gypsum board. ComfortGuard IR should be scored from the backside or sawed. It is recommended that both ComfortGuard AR & IR be installed and finished according to the methods described in application standards GA 214, GA216 and ASTM C840.
