QuietBrace Material Properties

Material Properties

QuietBrace combines the code-required bracing strength of a structural sheathing with the sound-deadening properties of a sound board. But those aren’t its only valuable features. It’s lightweight, it offers added insulation value and its water-resistant coating minimizes moisture absorption. Refer to the chart below for dimensional specifications as well as a variety of key performance measurements.

No-Added Urea Formaldehyde:

QuietBrace is a no-added-urea-formaldehyde material. It is manufactured with 100% southern pine wood chips and pre-jell corn starch as a binder. True asphalt is applied as a coating to enhance water resistance.
