Two types of fasteners meet the requirements for the installation of QuietBrace. These fasteners, spaced properly in accordance with the installation instructions, are critical in providing the allowable shear performance/racking resistance values of the wall assembly. Refer to “QuietBrace Shear Values” when specific engineering design is required.
11-ga. galvanized roofing nails, 1-1/2" long, with 7/16" heads.
16-ga. corrosion-resistant staples, 1-1/2" long, with 7/16", 15/16" or 1" crowns.
